Do you take walk-ins?We do not accept walk-ins at this time.

When are you open?We are open Tuesday through Friday 9:30 am to 2:00 pm with extra hours Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. We are open some Saturdays by request. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.

What payment types do you accept?We accept most major Insurance plans, Cash, Checks, Credit and Debit Cards, as well as HSA payments, CareCredit, and payments by mobile.

What should I do in case of an emergency?To make an emergency appointment with us, call 313-300-4396. If your call is a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1 or proceed to the nearest hospital emergency room.

What is a Root Canal (procedure)?A root canal is the process that removes damaged tooth pulp.

What is Bonding?Dental bonding is a process that uses a tooth-colored material to fix and improve the look of your teeth. It can be used to repair chips, close gaps, or change the shape and color of a tooth. Dental bonding can be easily removed or changed if needed.

What is a Crown?A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cover that is placed over a tooth to fix its shape, size, strength, and look. Crowns protect teeth from damage and make it easier to chew.

What is Periodontal Cleaning?Periodontal cleaning is a deep cleaning. It removals plaque, tartar, and stains above and below the gums. Periodontal cleaning is also called scaling and root planing.

What is an Extraction?A dental extraction is when a tooth is fully removed from its socket. This is also called tooth pulling.

What is Radiography?Radiography is a process that uses x-rays to take pictures of your teeth.

What is Prophylaxis?Prophylaxis is a routine teeth cleaning above the gums.

What does a Fluoride Treatment do?Fluoride treatments help make teeth stronger and protect them from cavities. They make teeth less likely to be damaged by acid from plaque, bacteria, and sugar. They can also fix early signs of tooth decay.

What happens at an Oral Exam?Oral exams check your whole mouth. They can also help find problems like pain, swelling, broken teeth, or other issues. During a full oral exam, your dentist will go over the medicines you're taking and write down your health record.

What are Restorative Fillings?Restorative fillings are used to fix cavities. Most cavities are filled with a tooth-colored material called "composite". These fillings were created to replace metal fillings. They are made of plastic that hardens when a special light is used.

What is a Bridge?A dental bridge is used to fill the gap when one or more teeth are missing. It is a false tooth that replaces the missing tooth. The bridge needs healthy teeth on both sides of the gap to be attached and stay in place.

What is Whitening?Tooth whitening makes the color of your teeth lighter without taking off any of the tooth. It can't fully change the color, but it can make your teeth lighter if they get stained. Tooth whitening is also known as bleaching.

What are Dentures?Dentures are a set of fake teeth that can be taken out. It replaces missing teeth and the gums around them. There are different types of dentures, like full dentures, partial dentures, and so on. Ask your dentist which type of denture is right for you.

What are Sealants?Sealants are thin, liquid coatings that are painted onto your back teeth. They work best when put on right after your adult molars come in (around age 6 for the first molars and around age 12 for the second molars). They can stop up to 50% of cavities for up to 4 years.

What are Baby Teeth?Baby teeth are the first set of teeth in children. Kids usually have 20 baby teeth, which fall out to make space for permanent adult teeth. Baby teeth are also called deciduous teeth, primary teeth, milk teeth, or first teeth.

What is Enamel?Tooth enamel is the hard outer part of a tooth. It protects the softer parts of the inside of the tooth and keeps the tooth safe from decay, hot, cold, and harm from chewing and grinding. Enamel cannot heal or grow back once it is gone.

What is Plaque?Dental plaque is a sticky film that builds up on your teeth. It's important to remove plaque by brushing, flossing, and getting regular cleanings. If plaque isn't removed, it can cause cavities, gum disease, and other dental problems.

What is Dentin?Dentin is the part of the tooth between the enamel and the pulp. Dentin is hard and yellow. It protects the pulp.

What are Gums?Gums are the pink tissue around the base of the teeth. They create a seal around teeth to protect the roots from bacteria that cause decay. Gums keep teeth in place and contain blood vessels. They are also known as gingiva.

What are signs of Healthy Teeth?Healthy teeth are bright, white, and smooth. The gums are pink and firm and don't bleed. When you have healthy teeth, your breath is fresh and odorless. Also, teeth should not be sensitive to hot or cold foods.

What is a Cavity?A cavity is a hole in a tooth that comes from tooth decay. Cavities form when acids in your mouth break down your tooth's enamel. Taking good care of your teeth and regular dental cleanings can help prevent cavities. Cavities are also called "dental caries."

What is Tartar?Tartar is plaque that has hardened on your teeth. It can build up and cause gum disease and other dental problems. Only a dentist or hygienist can remove tartar; brushing and flossing will not get rid of it.​ Tartar is also called "calculus."

What is an Abscess?An abscess is a pocket of pus that forms in the tissue around the infected tooth root. It is caused by untreated tooth decay or serious gum disease.

What is Tooth Decay?Tooth decay is when the bacteria in your mouth produces acids that damage the enamel of your teeth.

What are Adult Teeth?Adult teeth, also known as "permanent teeth", replace baby teeth. Most adults have 32 teeth: 8 incisors, 4 canines, 8 premolars, and 12 molars, which include 4 wisdom teeth. These teeth are meant to last a lifetime.

What is the Pulp of the tooth?The pulp is the middle part of a tooth. It has the nerves, blood vessels, and tissues that help connect the tooth.
